Md. Hasan Kabir, Deputy Director, Bangla Academy, Dhaka obtained Ph.D. degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Myme-nsingh. The title of his thesis was "Performance of Year Round Mungbean Varieties as Affected by Planting Practice, Phosphorus level, Inoculum and Irrigation". His thesis Supervisor was Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman Sarkar, Professor, Department of Agronomy, BAU, Mymensingh.

He conducted 14 experiments in which five modern varieties of mungbean, ten planting dates, three planting densities, six levels of phosphrous, Bradyrhizkobium inoculum and three levels of irrigation frequencies were treated in three consecutive years.

Three books written by Dr. Hasan Kabir were published by Bangla Academy. The number of his scientific papers published in different international and national journals was five. Besides, he has contributed fiftee popular scientific articles to different national journals.
