A free goat distribution meeting to eliminate poverty was held at Utch-akhila Bazar under Ishwarganj Upazila of the district on 22nd July.

Mustakim Billah Faruquee, UNO Ishwarganj Islam, DD Social Welfare, Mymensingh was present as special guest.

Chairman Utchakila Parishad Anwarul Hassan Khan, Chairman Tarundi Union Parishad Abdul Halim, SkM Ilyias, Member, Advisory Board Association for Socio Economic Development (ASED) were present as guests of honour. It was organised by Ased with the assistance of Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF).

It was presided over by Ased chairman Mozzamel Haque and keynote paper of the project presented by Executive Director of Ased Sheikh Md. Yusuf. 20 goats were distributed among four women.
