Two outlaws killed in shootout with RAB in Naogaon UNB, Naogaon Two outlaws were killed in a shootout between RAB and their cohorts at Mirzapur village in Atrai upazila here early Friday. The dead were identified as regional commander of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (ML-Lal Potaka) Saiful Islam, 42, and his accomplice Naser Ali alias Tara (55). RAB sources said Saiful was wanted in five cases, including of police killing and arms loot case at Tahirpur in Bagmara uapzila of Rajshahi and three other murder cases adding that Naser was also wanted in five murder cases. Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB raided the village when some outlaws were holding a clandestine meeting. Sensing the presence of RAB, the extremists opened fire on them forcing the law enforcers to fire back that triggered the gun battle. "At one stage the extremists fled the scene leaving behind the bullet-ridden bodies of Saiful and Naser," said a RAB account of the incident. When they were taken to the uapzila health complex the attending doctors declared them dead. Two pistols, one shutter gun, 12 rounds of bullet and some sharp weapons were recovered from the scene.
