Female police good for community policing
Why is policing an important career for women? Police experts nationwide have long held that increasing the number of female officers is key to the success of community policing goals, key to reducing police brutality, and essential to better handling of the crimes of domestic violence and rape. Two decades of studies have consistently found that women bring a unique and very beneficial style to policing. Most outstanding is women's ability to verbally de-escalate volatile situations. Relative to male officers, women have dramatically lower rates of use of excessive force, of officer involved shootings, and a lower rate of citizen complaints.
What is the necessity to recruit women? To effectuate the arrest, search, interrogation, controlling assembly & procession most successful especially in case where women-folk are involved as counterpart. Rather the question is where the women cops are not required now?
What is the alluring factor? Can't the women enjoy the privilege & power to serve the nation? Can't the women avail themselves of the opportunity to accept the most challenging career?
Why is policing a great career for women? Young women and second career women alike find that police work combines diverse challenges, normal pay but ration benefits, and the strong appeal of community involvement. Make sure that women and girls know about the opportunities in law enforcement:
· To use communication skills to resolve community conflicts!
· To work with and protect the full diversity of their town!
· To enjoy ongoing training in a wide variety of skills and career paths!
· To receive excellent opportunity to render service for the humanity!
· Extra rapid promotion because prospect of promotion for female officers are considerably ample!
Why Minority Representation is must? More minorities in our police forces are needed to broaden the narrow policing perspectives that have dominated our communities for too long. Minorities in policing are required to build up the trust & confidence of the minorities on the policing system. Unless police is made a trustworthy & unbiased an organ of the Govt. to them effective policing amidst the minorities could never be effectuated. Finally, Women policing is the demand of time in Bangladesh. At the same time it is a glorious career for women and the state is in wants. So, women should be encouraged to engage themselves with such a job. Government should take initiatives to enrich Bangladesh Police with Female Police to empower police department highly.
