Bollywood: I snatch my friends’ cell phonest

Prachi Desai
SantaBanta.com
Bubbly actress Prachi Desai is looking forward to the release of Rock On for more reasons than one. While the chirpy T.V. actress will be making her Bollywood debut with this film, she will also be making her singing debut in Rock On.
When we called up Prachi to confirm the news, she seemed all excited. "Yaaa…it's true that I have sung for a song in Rock On. In fact since yesterday, everyone has been asking me about this. It seems to have become big news already", laughs the chirpy actress.
We asked her, how did this all happen and Prachi indeed had quite a funny story to narrate, "One fine day when I was shooting for Kasamh Se, I got a call from Abhishek asking me to come to a studio.
I thought it might just be for a script reading session or discussing something about my role in the film. When I reached the venue, it was a music-recording studio and I wondered if I have come to the wrong place.
I just went in and I was made to listen to a song. The next thing I knew was that, Abhishek wanted to me to sing a few lines in the song. Although I was told that my character might have to sing a few lines for the film, I didn't know it would happen so soon.
I am not a trained singer; however, I must say that things went pretty well and I could finish my part in a matter of few minutes"
So how come her name doesn't feature in the list of singers on the Audio CD? "See, the song which I have sung is not there in the audio CD. Its not a full song, hence doesn't feature in the CD. However, the song will be there in the film"
The songs of Rock On have indeed caught on big time, especially among the youth. So which is Prachi's favorite number from the film?
"Since it's my first film, I am really crazy about all the songs of Rock On. I am only listening to the songs of Rock On in my car. What's more, I even snatch some of my friends' cell phones and put Rock On as their caller tune.
