Students of BKSP Public School halt traffic movement in Savar UNB, Savar Students of BKSP Public School and College Monday halted traffic movement on Nabinagar-EPZ road for three hours by putting barricade, protesting Sunday's road accident that left one student seriously injured. About 700 students took position on the road near their institution at about 9am. They damaged doors and windows of the institution and 10 different vehicles during their protest. The agitating students also chanted slogans to press home their three-point demands. The demands include construction of over-bridge and speed breaker in front of the school and expanding road near the school. Two students, Shuvo and Shaheen, were injured during the rampaging of their school. The students, however, withdrew their barricade at noon with the intervention of the Principal Lt. Colonel Anwar Hossain of the educational institution, police officials of Ashulia and Joydevpur thanas, army members of local camp and guardians. Many vehicles remained stranded during the barricade. Swapan, a student of Class IX of the school, was injured as a maxi hit him while he was crossing the road Sunday. The fellow students the same day blocked the road for sometime protesting the accident.
