Cute eased past Bangladesh Jail team by 49-11 goals in the day's lone match of the Design Zone Second Office Handball League at the Handball Ground in Paltan Maidan on Sunday.

Before starting the match, the players, the officials and the spectators observed one minute silence for the death of Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) M A Hamid, the former President of Bangladesh Handball Federation.

The winners controlled the first half with a 26-6 goals lead.

Faruque of Cute top-scored with 10 goals and his teammate Saidur netted nine.

On the other hand, Apu of Bangladesh Jail team scored seven goals.

Today Bangladesh Rifles will take on Bangladesh Jail team at 3.00 PM while Bangladesh Police will face Cute at 4.00 PM at the same venue.
