Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in drive seized 505 bottles of unaccompanied contraband Indian cough syrup - Phensidyle from city's Badamtali Khawja road July 19 last.

Sources said that acting on tip off a team of the RAB-7 raided the area at about 9:30 a.m. and recovered 505 bottles of Phensidyle from the house of Mohammed Ali Hossain. Sensing presence of the RAB men, the drug-peddler fled the scene.

A case was recorded with Chandgaon police station in connection with the incident.
