Japanese Ambassador in Bangladesh Masayuki Inoue said his Government is ready to extend all-out technical support to different sectors including education and ready-made garments (RMG) in Bangladesh.

Inoue said no company could survive in the world market without ensuring quality of its product, as quality is the key demand of customers.

He was speaking as chief guest at the inaugural session of a three-day training course on 'Improvement of Production Management Skills for the Garments Industry' at the city's Spectra Convention Centre yesterday.

Association of Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS), Japan, Pegasus Sewing Machine Manufacturing Company and Pegasus Sewing Machine Private Ltd, Singapore have jointly organised the course to help garment manufacturers in Bangladesh achieve grand success in RMG with optimum level of skills and minimum cost.

Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Abdul Haque, JETRO Representative in Dhaka Tomohiro Kinomoto, President of Pegasus Singapore Masayuki Okumura, Kazumi Kawata of Pegasus Sewing Machine Manufacturing Co Ltd, Japan, AOTS Bangladesh-Nepal Representative Moazzem Hossain and Pegasus Bangladesh Ltd Liaison Office DGM Imrul Islam Khan, among others, attended the function.

Japanese ambassador said many of the world-famous companies have vanished in the passage of time, as they couldn't maintain the quality of products rather they only hankered after profit.

He expressed the hope that Bangladeshi products would be famous across the globe with the high quality.

JBCCI President said the mission of his association is to promote more investment from Japan to Bangladesh for accelerating the pace of industrialisation.

"We will continue such training programmes even in the days ahead to enrich skills of Bangladeshi manufacturers", he said laying emphasis on ensuring quality of products.
