A businessman was found dead inside a room of residential hotel in the city's Agrabad area at about 10 AM today.

The victim Abul Hossain, 60, a cargo vessel broker, had been suffering from paralysis and had been staying at room No 210 of Hotel Purabi the last couple of days, police said. He hailed from Rankin Street of Wari in Dhaka city.

After getting information from hotel management, a team of Doublemooring police rushed to the hotel and recovered the body of Abul Hossain by breaking the door of the room at about 10 AM today.

Police said they have seen some abnormal marks on his body. A UD case was filed with Doublemooring Thana in this connection.
