Deputy Commissioner in Gazipur Sayed Mizanur Rahman inaugurated a new Union Parishad Bhaban of Kaultia union in Gazipur Sadar Upazila of the district on Thursday at 11 AM.

An opinion sharing meet arranged by Kaultia UP was held at UP premises on this occasion presided over by Freedom Fighter Chairman Alhaj Nazim Uddin. Miznur Rahman delivered the speech as the chief guest at the function.

He said in his speech, people of Kaultia Union are very industrious and dutiful. This is why development work under local government is possible.

He also told people that Freedom Fightedrs are the pride of the nation because of their self- sacrifice, honesty and sincerity. If they would not fight for our freedom, we would not get any opportunity to be Deputy Commissioner, Police Super, Executive Engineer including any high official post. So everybody should show respect to them and we should also do something for their interest. Union Parishad office, VDP, Police Community, Livestock, agriculture employees offices will have to be set up and activities will be directed from Union Parishad as one stop centre, chief guest added. He promised to give any kind of assistance for the people of Kaultia Union and ensure to solve the problems of roads and bridges to make this Union as model in Gazipur district. He called upon all people to be dedicated, honest and sincere to create a new environment.

It was also addressed, among others, by Police Super, Gazipur, Md. Abdul Baten, Execsutiver Engineer, LGED Kazi Mozibur Rahman, Principal Md. Saman Uddin, Abdur Rahim, Abdul Khaleque, Freedom Fighter Abdul Awal, UP member Nazrul Islam and Abdus Samad. Police Super explained trhe objectives of Police Community and requested the people to assist the organisation in view to fight terrorism and violence in villages or cities.
