Standard of English education going down in Chuadanga

Our Correspondent, Chuadanga

The standard of education in the private and govt schools and colleges of Chuadanga has gone down so that 80 per cent students fail to write correct english as they are deprived of proper English knowledge due to lack of English teachers.

The condition of students who are reading in Madrasas are deplorable as they have no adequate knowledge in English.

There is a serious crisis of English teachers in schools and colleges and Madrasas in 4 Upazilas of Chuadanga district. The teachers of schools and colleges fail to teach the students properly.

The teachedrs who claim to be english teachers are found to have no preliminary knowledge of the English grammar. How can they dare teach the students basically in English. Most of the age old English Teachers blame the National Education Board for introducing the communication method of Teaching English instead of compulsory curriculum of English grammar in primary to secondary schools and madrasas.

English is an International Language which should be taught properly otherwise the students will face problem in competitive arena.
