Sundarganj Upazila Administ-ration has distributed sewing machines among the destitute people on Thursday under annual development progra-mme to make them economically self-reliant.

A simple function was held at the auditorium of upazila parishad with UNO M Barad Hossain Chowdhury in the chair. Deputy Commissioner Abu Muhammad Yousuf was present on the occasion as the chief guest and distributed the machines among 30 destitute people.

Local LGED Engineer Abu Sufian, Upazila Education Officer Anwarul Islam, Project Implementation Officer Zahangir Alam, local elite and journalists were present.
