One person committed suicide by hanging himself at near his house at Choto Labongola village under sadar upazila of the district on Friday.

Police and family sources said the dead was identified as Abdul Jalil 35, son of Jhiraj Hawlader of Choto Lobongola village.

On Friday night Jalil came out at home and hanged himself with a tree near his house. Police recovered the body and sent it to Barguna Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Cause of the suicide could not be known immediately. A UD case was filed with Sadar police station in this connection.
