The District Administration and Food Department have cancelled licences of 2 (two) auto-rice mills out of 74 licence holders of rice husking mills in the district as owners of the mills did not renew their licences and make any contract for supplying rice to the government. District food controller Parimol Shaha said on Monday the licences of 2 rice mills in Tarail and Pakundia upazilas were cancelled.
