To build up a new Bangladesh Mirpur Indoor Stadium rose with hundreds of crowds in a concert titled 'Concert for Bangladesh' on Thursday.

Young generation took oath to build up a nation with the musical performances by the country's popular singers.

During the Liberation War a concert was organized in New York in USA. On that concert name of Bangladesh came out from the voice of then popular musician George Harrison. With the same titled another concert was held on Thursday in Dhaka.

Participants of the much-publicised Road Show on Thursday brought out a grand rally, parading different streets in the city and conveying a message to all - Let us build Bangladesh free from corruption and terrorism.

The caravan of the Road Show with the slogan 'Eso Bangladesh Gorhi' started the rally from Mirpur Government Bangla College at about 11:00am.

The musical concert with the participation of renowned singers was part of the Road Show programmes. Square Toiletries organised the concert with the slogan Fresh gel much safai to desh safai.

Popular artistes Ayub Bacchu, folk legend Momtaz, band artiste Khalid, artiste Mahmuduzzaman Babu and present sensation Mila performed in the concert.

The audience rose with the rhythm of songs. At first, artiste Mahmuduzaman Babu came on the stage.

After completing five seconds silent breaking on the sacrifice of the martyrs, he started song 'Ei sobuj matir kole achhe ghumiye kotota pran.'

Then he sang four songs including Pratul Mukhopaddhya's song 'Ami Banglai gan gai.' Audience also took part with the number of songs.

When Momtaz started 'Dui diner visai michha duniyai keno pathailore Allah' the whole stadium started dancing. Then she performed 'Khairun Lo…' and others.

Private television channel RTV aired the concert on live. The concert started at 3:30pm and ended at 7:30pm.

Youths enjoyed the concert by their own ways. The concert was ended by the performance of Ayub Bacchu.

The Road Show travelled 4,000 kilometres across 55 districts to create awareness among the people to build the country anew.

The caravan of the Road Show started its journey on June 1 from Panchagarh and reached the capital city on July 13.

As many as 25 fairs were held across the country during the period to convey the messages of Road Show to the people.

Onno Boshonto, a 16-episode new drama serial, started from May 17 on ATN Bangla.

Taukir Ahmed, Richi Solaiman, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Dilara Zaman, Shahidul Alam Sacchu, Shamim Zaman, Sharmin Shila, Saleh Ahmed, Dr Inamul Haque, AKM Hasan, Jhuna Chowdhury, among others, are main performers of the serial.

The drama serial based on three separate stories. But there is a connection among the stories. Among the mess members, Maznu is senior to others. He is a service holder. He did not get married. Mamun is searching job after completion of study. He has an affair with Nitu. Ranju and Abir are studying. Manager of the mess takes loans from them, but did not return them. His main duty is to look after the maidservant of the mess.

Father of Nitu is practicing herbal medicine and wants to open a chamber in his house. He has a conflict with his wife in this regard. His son-in-law is jobless. He lost huge amount of money in the name of opening of various projects. Ant cultivation was one of them. This is the story of Onno Boshonto.

The serial is aired at 8:00pm on ATN Bangla every Saturday.

Bollywood's national award winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar says 'Fashion' depicting the dark and positive side of fashion industry was his most expensive film till date.

Talking to reporters here on Wednesday to unveil the first look of the film, Madhur said the budget of 'Fashion' combines the expenditure incurred for his films from 'Chandni Bar' to 'Traffic Signal.'

'Fashion' starring Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and debutants former Miss India Mughda Godse and model Arjan Bajwa releases in November this year.

All the lead cast play models in the film. Priyanka said 'Fashion' was offered to her when she was not keen to sign whatever role comes her way.

'But the moment I heard the script, I decided that I had to be part of this film. I play a girl from Chandigarh who shifts to Mumbai to become a supermodel. Madhur is straight forward and a focussed director,' the former Miss World said.

Kangana said working with Madhur was a like a dream come true for her.

"I became good friend of Priyanka because I find her very warm and a down to earth person," she added.

UTV CEO Ronnie Screwvala, co-producer of the film, expressed confidence that 'Fashion' will fetch Madhur his fourth national award.

Bengali film 'Tomakey Khujchhi' directed by Motin Rahman has been released countrywide on July 18.

Riaz, Purnima, Shakil, Dr Ezaz, Nasrin, Nishu and Champa performed in lead roles in the movie.

Mostafa Kamal was in camera, Amzad Hossain in editing and Ali Akram Shuvo in music of the movie. Story of the film was written by Komol Sarkar. Kabir Bakul is the lyricist and Md Sahidur Rahman Sahid is producer of the film. Andrew Kishore, Samina Chowdhury, Baby Naznin, Dolly Sayantini, Asif and SI Tutul gave vocals for the songs of the film.

Story:

Robin, Akash and Moznu are three friends came from a village. They were living together. Working in media. They dreamt to become rich men. Suddenly, Robin and Akash got married.

Then three friends lost their jobs due to cheating. They got another jobs under the shelter of a woman. All of them wanted to live in simple way. As a result, they faced many problems in family life. Misunderstanding rose among them.

Then they met a divorcee. They got a new experience from her. They realized that it is easy to break a family but too tough to make. They also realized that family life becomes successful by both husband and wife.
