Police rounded up 19 people, including absconding criminals, from various places in the district in separate anti-crime drives conducted during last 24 hours till this noon.

Police said the arrested included listed terrorists, murderers, thieves, drug peddlers and traffickers, gamblers, absconders in different cases and other anti-social elements.Police also recovered good quantity of narcotics substances and other illegal things during the drives.

Kotwali police arrested six persons, Taraganj one, Gangachara two, Badarganj two, Mithapukur five, Kawnia two and DB police arrested one person.

The arrested were sent to jail hajat when police produced them before different Rangpur courts.
