Acting Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University (RU) Dr Mamnunul Keramat has said students are the main architect of the nation.

Students should refrain from any sorts of destructive activities and do their lessons attentively to build up a healthy nation, he said this addressing at a reception function here as the chief guest.

RU unit of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) arranged the reception at Kazi Nazrul Islam on the campus to the students who got GPA-5 in the SSC examination this year.

He also gave scholarship money to the meritorious but poor students.

With RU unit of ICS President Delwar Hossain Sayed in the chair, it was addressed, among others, by Director of Institute of Education and Research (IER) Prof Dr Nazrul Islam, lecturer of Zoology Department Mehedi Hasan.

A total of 100 GPA-5 holder students participated in the function.
