Father and son have been electrocuted in Protappur village under Madhavpasha union of Babuganj upazila of Barisal district on Monday morning.

The victims were identified as Liakat Ali Khan, 60, and Panna Khan, 22, Witnesses said when the father and son was working at the crop filed, at first the son came in touch of a electric pole of Rural Electrification Board at about 11:30 am Monday morning.

The father also electrocuted when tried to save his son and villager informing local REB office disconnecting electricity supply recovered dead bodies of the victims.

They were buried at family graveyard at afternoon after lodging a case of unnatural death with local police station.

Engineer Md. Harun, general manager of local REB expressing his deep condolence about the incident said that electrification of the electric pole would be investigated.
