Candidates of Barisal City Corporation Election relaxation started their election campaign after relaxing emergency power rule for 21 days after distributing symbols to 24 hours before the vote casting date.

On the first day of starting campaign candidates were seen exchanging greetings and seeking blessings by personally going door to door in different areas of the city.

Workers of the candidates started announcements on microphone calling for casting votes in favor of their candidates.

Banners, placards and posters also started to be hoisted in city areas by the workers of the candidates.

As weather was inclement on Monday, so election campaign procession was not brought out till writing this report.

Candidates said that they would bring out processions is if weather condition improved.
