School-based gardening progra-mme has been undertaken on Parla Government Primary School premises in the district town on Sunday.

Sabolambi Unnayan Sang-stha (SUS) in cooperation with Action Aid and International Food Security Network has taken the school-based gardening programme to create awareness among the school students for planting more fruit-bearing and trees with medicinal value on their school and house premises. Netrakona Sadar upazila education officer AKM Manirul Hasan inaugurated the programme by planting a number of fruit-bearing and medicinal trees there.

School students, teachers, civil society members were present in the function.

Later, the SUS distributed 300 saplings of different trees among the students.
