One killed, 11 hurt over land dispute in Taraganj BSS, Rangpur One person was killed and 11 others were injured in a clash over a land dispute at Shekher Chalk village under Taraganj upazila in the district on Thursday, police said. There was a previous enmity between Birendra Nath group and Anil Chandra group at the village over nine decimals of land. The rival groups engaged in the clash centring cutting bamboos at the bamboo cluster on the disputed land on the day, leaving 11 people injured. Of them Birendra Nath, 45, Supindra Nath, 55, Subhash Chandra, 29, Sunil Chandra, 26, Bhupati, 60, Romita, 23, Dalim, 25, Champa Bala, 55, Shyama Kanto, 40, were admitted to Taraganj upazila health complex. Later, Supindra Nath and Birendra Nath were shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where Supindra Nath succumbed to his injuries. A murder case was lodged with Taraganj police station in this connection. Police arrested three persons in this connection.
