Educationists at a function here have said that the talented students must be groomed up as their intellects were most essential for overall development and national advancement.

They also urged teachers to work hard with utmost sincerity and dedication for reviving their past glory of sacrifice and play due role to help flourish future talents in society.

The observation came at a reception ceremony accorded to the brilliant students, who got GPA-5 and Junior Scholarships from Nazipur High School at the school premises in Potnitola upazila town of Naogaon district Thursday.

Chaired by acting headmaster of the High School Mozahar Ali, the function was addressed by the members of the managing committee of the institution, teachers, local elite, students, guardians and government officials.

Educationists and teachers including Kartik Chandra Mandal, Azizar Rahman, Helal Uddin, Bazlur Rahman, Akkas Ali and talent students Moslem Us Salehin, Lutfun Nahar Lopa, Farzana Afroz Priti, Fazle Lohani also spoke. The speakers suggested students to be more attentive and continue their studies with commitments perseverance with a target to attain better results in future. They called upon all concerned for establishing accountability in the education sector. They also urged the teachers to be more responsible, laborious, honest and icons of principle to give moral boost to the students. The guardians must play a complementary role for the betterment of their pupils without depending full on teachers and schools only, they observed.
