The foundation stone of the academic building of Syedpur Sunflower School and College (SSSC) was laid down at its premises in Syedpur Upazila town of Nilphamari district on Thursday.

The Education Engineering Department (EED) of Nilphamari will construct the academic building at a cost of about Taka 36 lakh during current fiscal year.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Syedpur Upazila Sabina Alam formally laid the foundation stone as the chief guest at a simple ceremony, chaired by President of the Governing Committee of the SSSC Aminul Islam.

Advisory Principal of SSSC Prof Abdul Kadir, its Principal Prof Mokhlesur Rahman, educationists Azmal Haque Sarker and Abdul Karim, EED Engineer Abul Hossain and teacher Johurul Islam were present.
