The over populous Barpa, Areabo, Tetalabo, Moikuli, Sutalara of Rupgonj, Narayanganj have been out of gas connection even now. The many industries such as, Altex Industries, Lition Fabrics, ACS Textiles, HS Textiles Onteem Nit Ltd. and many other small industries are located in these localities. Thousands of workers, officers, traders and other service-holders including locals are living in those areas.

In the meantime a number of houses have been built in these localities. Any kind of fuel without gas is very vulnerable to use.

The government will also be more benefited in revenues and taxes if the gas connection is ensured in the areas. Dwellers demand gas connection to the concerning authority without any delay.
