The fifth anniversary of death of former Adviser to caretaker government Barrister Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed will be observed today.

On this occasion, Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Smriti Parishad has arranged programmes including placing wreaths and offering fateha at his grave at Banani and holding a Milad Mahfil at an orphanage, a press release said yesterday.

During his eventual life, Barrister Ishtiaq Ahmed had made immense contribution in the legal arena of Bangladesh and acted as an Attorney General for Bangladesh and an adviser to the caretaker government in 1996 and 2001.
