British Co to set up a specialized garments industry in AEPZ



UNB, Dhaka



A British Company will set up a specialized garments industry in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone.

The company will initially invest about Tk. 43 crore in setting up their plant and will produce men's and ladies overcoats, suits and bespoke outerwear.

It will also create employment opportunity for 1,566 Bangladeshis, including 10 foreign nationals.

An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and the Company, M/s AMCS Textiles Limited, at BEPZA Complex here yesterday.

Prasanta Bhushan Barua, member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Syed Ahmed, Managing Director of AMCS Textiles, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
