Turkey to seek 100 student scholarships from Bangladesh UNB, Dhaka Foreign Advisor Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury has said the relations between Bangladesh and Turkey are "traditional and historical". The Advisor made the remarks when Turkish Ambassador Sakir Ozkan Toruntar called on him Thursday. They discussed ways and means to boost economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries. The Ambassador said Turkey would be seeking to enhance the number of scholarships to Bangladeshi students from 30 to 100. Additional support to the Kamal Ataturk School in Noakhali would also be provided. Turkey has also offered Bangladesh cooperation in the Health Sector, the Ambassador told the Adviser. Iftekhar thanked the Ambassador for these initiatives and wished him good luck during his tenure of office.
