A weeklong tree fair began on the premises of Poura Monch here on Monday.

Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) and Forest department organised the fair as part of the ongoing national tree plantation movement.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue) of Brahmanbaria Azizul Alam formally inaugurated the fair as the chief guest while deputy director of the DAE Abul Kalam Mondol chaired it.

Among others, Sadar UNO Zohra Begum, Imran Ahmed and Habibur Rahman were present. A total of 23 stalls were set up in the fair.
