Cucumber production has broken all previous records this year at Rupgonj peasants are happy getting more profit. At the beginning of the season per kg of cucumber was sold Tk. 25/30. Now it sells, Tk. 16/17.

Peasants of the villages Mazipara, Kaloni, Poshi, Alampur Ragurampur, Pachbag, Kamta, Pinglan and Gobin-dapur, have cultivated cucumbers in 300 acres of lands.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Masud Reza has said, seeds to be sowed first of Chaitra month for preparing soil well. Later different fertilisers and pesticides are to be used properly to get bumper production of cucumber.
