A large part of Feni district including Pashuram and Fulgazi Upazila on Thursday was submerged due to daylong downpour.

The normal life was paralysed and business operations were slow downed. The day labours suffered the most and had to remain in starvation for not getting any job. The inhabitants of the district are feared for flood, as no embankment has not still been set up on the bank of Mahua and Kashua.

According to the district met office the water of the Mahua river was flowing over the danger level on Thursday.
