Two robberies were committed at two villages under sadar upazila in the district in the early hours of Monday.

Police said a gang of robbers entered into the house of Nazar Ali at Bisarod village under sadar upazila by breaking open the door and looted gold ornaments, valuables and money from his house at midnight on Manday. Wife of Najar Ali and his daughter Muksuda were injured as the robbers hit them with sharp weapons.

They were admitted to local health complex.

In another incident, the armed robbers entered into the house of Alhaj Motaher Hawlader of village Dhobkathi under the sadar upazila at around 2-30 am on Monday and looted gold ornaments, valuables and money on gun point. They managed to escape the scene with the loot.

Separate cases were lodged with Kotwali police in these connections.
