Freedom Fighters on Tuesday called upon the people irrespective of political affiliation and views to forge national unity to preserve the real history of the War of Liberation.

Speaking at a memorial meeting at the death of chief of allied force during the Bangladesh's War of Liberation in 1971 Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, leaders of the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Foundation (BMF) demanded preservation of the real history by inclusion of the memories of the valiant freedom fighters in the educational curriculum.

BMF organised the function in cooperation with Peshajibi, Samajik and Shanscritik Sangathan (PSSS) at the auditorium of the Jatiya Press Club here.

The speakers recalled the strong leadership of former Indian Prime Minister and participation of the members of the Indian Army in the War of Liberation when Bangladesh-India Joint Force was formed.
