I fully support Professor SAM, who opposed to have an Agricultural universtiy in a heart of the Dhaka city. Objective of establishing of an agricultural university is to study, research and extension of new technologies to the farmers by the students and teachers. But in capital city there is no farmer at all who can be benifitted. We should think decentralisation of our capital seriously.

We have three specialist agaricultural unviersities (BAU, Bangabandhu Agri university and Sher-e-Bangla Agri university) in same agroechological zones within 90 km. Agricultural study should be experimnetal based between different agroechological zones. Our North Bengal is subtropical regions contribute huge on our agriculture.

But there is no special agricultural university in that region, whereas two Agri university, Bangabandhu and SAU is located within 20 km in the heart of a burgeoning city. General University like Dhaka University is extending their campus in Purbachol but this University which is totally farm based is located near the Natioanl Parliament, Planning and Election Commission.

How impractical the planners and politicians are!Being in the heart of city, it always makes movement, creates procession by its students, teachers also by labourers to fulfil their issue. Noticeable that this time only this University is closed for their students demonstration. Students break vehicles and make agitaion on mirpur road when something happen in campus.

Surprisingly this university contineously demanding VC from this University by all of its service personnel, for this they are also making procession and agitation in road. Such an obstinate demand is now questionable to us! As they contineously making agitation it also creates problem beside the residential area where we live. Therefore we request government to shift this University to North Bengal or any other important agro - ecological zones for fulfilling the objective to establish an agri university in an agrobased country.
