Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 in a drive recovered a good quantity of contraband Indian saree from a shop at Goleza super Market of Gobindagonj uapzila town of the district on July 02.

RAB sources said acting on a tip off, a team of RAB led by assistant police super Morteza Ali conducted a drive at the shop at midnight and recovered 452 pitent of Indian Sarees and 130 three-piece worth about Tk 3.81 lakh from the shop.

Sensing the presence or law enforcing agency Tapan, 35, owner of the shop, managed to flee the scene. A case was filed with Gobindaganj thana in this connection.
