Police, in different anticrime drives, rounded up 63 persons including four drug-peddlers on various charges from different areas in city and nine upazilas of the district in last 24 hours till Thursday evening.

Of them, 21 were picked up from different areas in the metropolis while 42 others from nine upazilas of the district. Police arrested the drug-peddlers identified as Belal Hossain, 20, Shaheb, 30, Sajamal, 25, and Sohel Rana, 24, and seized 203 bottles of phensidyl, 150 grams of ganja and nine pieces of smuggled sarees during three separate raids at different areas in the city.

Traffic police lodged 24 cases under the Motor Vehicles Ordinance during drives against the non-registered motor vehicles and other document-related malpractices in different parts of the city during the time.
