A surplus budget of Madaripur Pourashava for the fiscal year 2008-2009 was announced by Chowdhury Nurul Alam Babu in the conference room of Madaripur Pourashava in a press conference of 10 AM on July 2.

In the budget the proposed revenue income is Taka 2 crore 49 lakh 9311, while the proposed revenue expence Taka 2 crore 34 lakh 26,000. The amount of surplus revenue income was Taka 14 lakh 83 thousand and 311.

The councillors of different wards of the pourashava were present on the occasion. The mayor answered the various questions of the journalists.
