Kaliganj Pourasabha announced Taka 3,45,11,540 crore budget for 2008-2009 fiscal year on Sunday.

Poura Mayor Alhaj Mahbubar Rahman announced the budget at a function attended by deputy commissioner of Jhenaidah Abu Sayed Fakir as the chief guest while Police Super Jahangir Hossain Matubbar and Chairman of Mobarokganj Abdul Mannan were present as special guests.

The revenue earning and development grants have been fixed at Taka 2.08 crore while the total expenditure will be Taka 3,45,11,540.

Political leaders, journalist, local elite and the councilors of the pourasabha were present on the occasion.
