Two persons were killed and three others were injured in a road accident on Friday evening. According to eye-witnesses a Kaligonj-bound bus coming from Kotchandpur when reached near Kashipur rail crossing on Kaligonj-Kotchandpur road suddenly a Kotchandpur-bound Nocimon collided head on causing five persons to be injured seriously.

The injured were admitted into General Hospital Jessore in critical condition and half an hour later Zohurul Islam (25) of Choto Gighat under Kaligonj upazila and Sariful Islam (30) of Gobardanga under Kaligonj upazila in Jhinaidah district died in the hospital and the condition of other three is critical, hospital sources said.
