The controversial and powerful "forum" leader Kazi Mohiuddin Bulbul, who was elected Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) unopposed in April, has resigned.

Reliable sources said, Bulbul, general secretary of Feni DSA, was forced to resign from the posts of General Secretary of Bangladesh Badminton Federation and Vice-President of Chittagong Divisional Sports Association in the face of financial scandal during last BFF election.

The BOA is poised to accept his resignation in its next meeting and will fill up vacancy through bye-election.
