Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed on Wednesday greeted Prime Minister Sergei Sergeevich Sidorsky of Belarus on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic.

"Bangladesh enjoys excellent bilateral relations with Belarus and is committed to further strengthen and deepen the close ties existing between the two countries," the chief adviser said in a message to his Belarus counterpart.

"I have firm conviction that the existing bonds of friendship between our two countries will further flourish in the years ahead," he added.

Dr Fakhruddin conveyed his best wishes for good health, long life and happiness of the Prime Minister and continued peace, progress and well being of the people of the Republic of Belarus.
