Quality pry edn for achieving national dev underscored

Speakers at a function stressed the need for ensuring quality primary education for achieving national development through increasing the attendance of the students and decreasing the dropout rates of the poor students.

They said this while addressing the inaugurating session of a daylong training course at the hall room of Shaheed Minor Government Primary School of the upazila under the project of stipend for education.

Upazila Education office organized the training course.

District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) M. Golam Nabi addressed the function as the chief guest while district- monitoring officer (stipend) Khandaker Hasan Mahbubur Rahman was present as special guest.

National award obtained head teacher of Shibran Government primary school of the upazila M. Nurul Alam was the chief discussant.

Presided over by upazila Nirbahi Office (UNO) M. Barad Hossain Chowdhury, the function was also addressed ,among others, by upazila Education officer M. Anwoarul Islam, instructor of upazila Resource centre Abdul Mannan, district correspondent of the BSS M. Shahiduzzaman and head teacher of Taluk Sarbananda Govt. Primary school Farida Yasmin.

A total of 98 head teachers including public representatives participated in the training course.
