The Philosophy and thoughts of the great poet Allama Iqbal, to restrain and implement in our practical life, some eminent teachers of Rajshahi University (RU) formed a Research Forum titled 'Allama Iqbal Research Forum' on Monday at RU. The object of the forum is researching his literary and introducing him to the readers who speak in Bengali Language.

On the launching conference of the forum held at 3rd Science Building while a 13-member executive committee formed. Former Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. M Altaf Hossain presided over the Programme.

Prof. Dr. M Altaf Hossain, former VC of RU and Prof. Dr. AKM Ajharul Islam were elected as it's Adviser while formed a executive committee by Prof. Dr. M Nazrul Ialam, director , IER of RU as chairman, Prof. Dr. M Abdul Hamid, a teacher of Philosophy Dept. as Assistant Chairman, Prof. Dr. Asma Siddika, Dean of Law and Justice Faculty as general secretary, Iftekhar Alam Masud , a teacher of Arabic Dept. as assistant secretary and Dr. M Mahfujur Rahman, a teacher of Islamic History and Culture Dept. as Cultural secretary and Prof. Dr. AKM Iyakub Ali, a teacher of Islamic History and Culture Dept., Prof. Dr. M Abdur Rahman Siddiki, director of TSCC of RU, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shajahan, a teacher of Philosophy Dept., Prof. Dr. Moijul Islam, a teacher of History Dept., Prof. Dr. M Shamim Khan, Prof. Dr. M Nurul Huda, Prof. Dr. Latif Ahamed teachers of Language dept. and Dr. Najib Uadud, an employee of RU Medical Center were elected as member of the Research Forum.
