Olympian Sabrina Sultana clinch top slot in .22 Rifles Prone UNB, Dhaka Olympian shooter Sabrina Sultan of Dhaka Rifles Club clinched the top slot in the Women's .22 Rifles Prone on the 2nd day of the 22nd National Shooting Championship at the BKSP shooting range in Savar on Wednesday. Sabrina, who represented Bangladesh in the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, scored 568 to win the top slot today. Tripti Dutta of BKSP Shooting Club and Nahid Sultana of Ansar- VDP Shooting Club became second and third scoring 567 and 564 respectively. But Commonwealth and SAF games gold winning shooter Asif Hossain Khan of Dhaka Rifles Club finished third in his favorite event - men's 10 meter Air Rifles - scoring 677.2. Imam Hossain of Army Shooting Association clinched the event's gold scoring 685.3, while Azizur Rahman Ujjal of Narayanganj Rifles Club became second scoring 682.6. Imran Hossain of Kushtia Rifles Club and Mahendra Kumar Singh of Army Shooting Association won the top slot in the men's 10 meter Air Rifles (Juniors) and 50 meter Air Pistol respectively on Wednesday. Women's 10 meter Air Rifles, Men's 22 Rifles Prone, women's 25 meter Pistol, and 10 meter Air Rifles for Juniors will be held today (Thursday).
