Int'l Turkish Hope School holds 'Year End Program' International Turkish Hope School arranged a great 'Year End Program' on May 31 at BIAM Auditorium in the city. Justice Afzal Hossain Ahmed of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, High Court Division, attended the programme as the chief guest. Honorary Consul General of Turkey Salahuddin Kasem Khan, Fakhrul Islam, Joint Secretary Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism , ex-chairman of BTRC Syed Marghub Murshed were among other distinguished guests. The programme included speeches from Bayram Saatci, Principal of ITHS, Chief Guest Justice Afzal Hossain Ahmed. Besides, a prize giving ceremony, slide show about International Turkish Hope School and its achievements were presented to the audience. Bangla, Turkish and English songs, cultural shows, karate show and drama shows were performed by the students of ITHS. Function started with recitation of Surah Fatiha and National Anthem of Bangladesh. Bayram Saatci, Principal of ITHS, delivered the welcome speech. Justice Afzal Hossain Ahmed said that he was very pleased being attending the function of ITHS. "I came to learn that ITHS follows the international GCE Curriculum and prepares the students for O & A Level Examinations and is getting very successful results in these examinations every year. By providing modern methods and techniques in teaching and education, the school contributes a lot for the education quality in Bangladesh. Besides, the school participates and represents Bangladesh successfully in international olympiads and competitions. Apart from education ITHS is well known school in providing humanitarian aids to needy people. Moreover, the school expanded its branches out of Dhaka to Chittagong and Bogra. I wish the school administration and students every success in the future.' Afterward, the prize distribution programme was held. The chief guest, principal of the school and some other guests presented the awards. Students who achieved excellent results in GCE O & A Level Examinations got scholarship awards and their plaques. Among them Shehrin Chowdhury had scored the highest mark in Chemistry in GCE O' Level Examinations. Four students who got golden, silver and bronze medals in 5th International Turkish Olympiads where 550 students from 102 countries participated in Turkey were awarded US$1,000 that was given to each of the students by Olympiad Organizing Committee. Besides, teachers behind all these achievements were also awarded a plaque of appreciation. Later, cultural shows of students held. Students aged from 3 to 18 from five branches of I.T.H.S. performed many shows successfully.
