A sessions court here yesterday issued warrant of arrest against two cops as they failed appearing before the court and produce evidence of a criminal case.

Chittagong Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal issued the warrant of arrest against police Inspector La Ching Pru and Sub-Inspector Javed Masud for failing to produce the evidences of court bombing incident.

The public prosecutor Quamrul Islam Sazzad told reporters that both the cops deliberately were skipping the court summon.

Inspector La Ching is working in Comilla while Javed Masud is in Sunamganj.

The court yesterday recorded the statement of Assistant Superintendent of police (ASP) Abdur Rahim who is working in RAB-4.

A total of 17 witnesses have so far been recorded their statement in the court bombing incident that took place on November 29, 2005. June 12 has been fixed for next recording of statement of witness.

Three persons including Police Constable Rajib Barua and the JMB suicide bomber Hossain Ali were killed in the incident.
