House occupation case: Ex MP Akbar sent to jail Sirajganj Correspondent Former Member of Parliament (MP) and BNP leader Akbar Ali was sent to jail in an illegal occupation case after his bail petition was rejected yesterday. According to the case report, Akbar Ali along with his hoodlums occupied forcibly one Asaduzzaman Dulal's house located at Jhukra in Ullapara pourasava under the district on February 4 in 2005. Dulal lodged a case with the Ullapara police. After investigation, the police submitted charge sheet against Akbar Ali and 10 other accomplices. Akbar was produced before the District Session's Judge Court yesterday. Judge Biplob Goshwami sent Akbar to jail rejecting his bail petition.
