Dewan Basit’s son to run in JS poll race

Dewan Shamim Afzol, youngest son of late Dewan Abdul Basit, who was leader of the house in the then East Pakistan parliament and also a central minister, said at press conference recently at his Rajnagor House that he would be an independent candidature from Moulvibazar-3 Constituency (Sadar and Rajnagar Upazilas) in the next general election.
