The Boro paddy and Boro rice procurement drive has been started from May 15 last in Gopalganj district in five upazilas of the Gopalganj district by the government at Gopalganj Food godown premises and per kg Boro paddy price has been fixed at Taka 18 and Boro rice Taka 28.

SM Ashfaque Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Gopalganj inaugurated the Boro paddy and Boro rice procurement drive buying 10 metric tonnes Boro rice from a rice miller Mohammad Fakrul Islam at Gopalganj Food Godown premises on May 15.

Mohammad Faizul Islam Chowdhury, Gopalganj District Food Controller Mohammad Mannan Hossain OCL SDO Gopalganj Food godown, Hafizur Rahman Khan Mukul, Chairman Majigali UP under Gopalganj Sadar Upazila and Hamidul Hoque, OMS dealer were present.
