Touchstone statue recovered in Jhenidah

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered a touchstone statue worth about Taka 50 lakh from Kaliganj upazila of the district on Sunday.

The statue weighing about 40 kg, was recovered from a brick field beside Kalimondir of the upazila town after conducting a raid by the members of the elite force on the basis of secret information.

The RAB sources said that an organised gang of smugglers were trying to smuggle it out of the country.
